Abstract

It is a general approach agreed upon by cultural researchers that the relationship between space and culture is important for the cultural history of every society. In this context, Mâverâünnehir, Khwarezm and Fergana regions have been the most important places that deeply influenced and shaped Turkish cultural history. In this paper, the transformative role of the Māverāünnehir, Khwarezm and Fergana regions in Turkish cultural history will be emphasized, especially based on travelogues written between the IXth and XVIth centuries.
